I have been trained in this technique in France, according to european beauty standards, in the Chanps-Elysées campus in Paris, under the guidance of dr Philippe Levan & dr Gilbert Zakine. In Europe patients are looking for nicely shaped buttocks, not too large, that are in proportion with the rest of the body. The implants size is usually small and their type is Biconvex, approved for buttock use, in round or oval shape, with curved surfaces contrary to the implants used in breasts that have one flat and one curvy surface. They are placed inside the muscle, never above it, in order for the sense of feeling of the buttocks surface to be totally natural and for the result not to be visible. This surgery can be combined with a body liposculpture, a technique that includes liposuction performed on the waist and the hip area and fat transfer in the buttocks area. This way implants are covered all over with skin and fat, they are better hidden and results are even more harmonious.
